MQC Stab Plates

UNITECH offers a range of low-complexity, ROV-operated and hand-operated, Multi Quick Coupler (MQC) stab plates.

MQC Terminator Charlie / Charlie X-1

UNITECH developed the low complexity, ROV Operated MQC Terminator Charlie X-1 as an advanced development of the Terminator Charlie stab plate. The female plate has been designed as a manifold to eliminate welding and bending as well as almost all mechanical joints/parts vulnerable to leakage.

  • Female manifold plate without pipe welding and bending complexity
  • Male plate with optional secondary self-closing release function
  • Drastically reduced installation and intervention cost and risk
  • High reliability and safety during ROV docking and connection phase
  • Inherently safe design, elimination weak links in assembling umbilical lines to female plate
  • All critical parts on retrievable ROV side.

MQC Terminator Alpha

UNITECH first developed the low complexity, ROV Operated MQC Terminator Alpha in 1986.

  • Design simplicity and high quality components
  • Reliability and safety during the ROV docking and connection phase
  • All critical and moving parts are on the female removable side
  • Hydraulic coupler sizes are from ¼” to 1”.

In 2010, UNITECH enhanced the MQC Terminator Alpha with the development of MQC Terminator ‘Yankee’ in response to growing demand for a Male (Fixed) plate with all main UNITECH features which can be integrated into a structure (Manifold or XMT).

MQC Terminator Delta / Delta X

The Delta X is an advanced development of the MQC Terminator Charlie X-1 Plate, it provides a reliable subsea, electro-hydraulic multi-well control system without the need for a conventional control pod on a tree or manifold.

The Integrated Control-module & Connection (ICC) system incorporates electronic logic functionality for independent valve control during the connector deployment. The ICC is significant in reducing development & operational cost for subsea projects.

  • Charlie X1 manifold plate design for removable part which allows Female plate without pipe welding and bending complexity
  • Proportional and Directional Control Solenoid Valves
  • Direct or MUX electronic valve control
  • Pressure, temperature and flow sensors
  • UH-550 series electrical connectors.

Emergency Quick Disconnect (EQDS) and Automatic Locking and Renewal (ALR)

Multi quick connector for Emergency Quick Disconnect (EQDS) and Automatic Locking and Renewal (ALR) that can be operated without use or assistance of heavy and costly pull-in and connection tools, for the following applications:

  • Pull-In, Connection, Locking and Automated Release of Umbilicals without use of tools.
  • Automatic Docking and Release of Control Pods
  • Automatic Docking and Release of Tool Packages
  • ROV Stab Plates with Automatic Release.

Diver operated, MQC Stab Plate

 

Diver operated MQC Stab Plate for control system umbilicals and steel tube connections to XMT.

  • All critical latching / locking details on retrievable side.
  • Latching cam assisted for easy diver operation.
  • Hydraulic couplers equipped with Uniflex fittings
  • 10,000 psi working pressure.
  • All critical hydraulic primary seals on retrievable side.
