Intervention & Workover System (IWOCS)

Shallow and deep-water fields are particularly challenging when performing well interventions and workovers. UNITECH has been founded on Workover and Control System Umbilical development for shallow waters and has gained extensive experience from numerous conventional Umbilical System deliveries over the past 30 years.

UNITECH has strengthened our ability to provide Single Source Solutions for the current and future markets by investing in modern state-of-the-art Umbilical manufacturing and testing facilities.

UNITECH’s Umbilical System experience forms the basis for future Shallow and Deepwater IWOCS Systems designed for effective solutions that are easy to mobilize, deploy and operate, including a range of ROV assisted intervention options.

Innovative Control Solutions

UNITECH’s field proven flying lead MQC connector with integrated control and monitoring of well control functions can offer significantly reduced complexity of working operations as well as eliminating the need for a Subsea Control Module (SCM). Offered with UNITECH’s Single Source Solutions, it provides considerable time and cost savings for field expansion projects, single well developments and economically marginal developments.

Complete IWOCS

The UNITECH IWOCS is deployed using a self supporting umbilical system to water depths of 3,000m. The IWOCS contains full hydraulic, electrical and fiber optic capabilities and features:

  • 25,000 psi Couplers
  • 20,000 psi Heavy Duty UNITECH MQCs
  • 20,000 psi Hoses
  • 20,000 psi IWOCS umbilicals
  • State-of-the art umbilical terminations
  • Fully containerised umbilical IWOCS deployment winch system
  • Umbilical weak link in the event the DP surface vessel moves off-station.
